This heatmap is generated from data collected by sensors located throughout the city and privately owned street-facing cameras that voluntarily contribute information. The sensors detect radio signals emitted by police vehicles, each of which has a unique RF fingerprint that helps distinguish individual vehicles. AI analyzes this information along with camera data to estimate where police activity is occurring and display activity levels on the map.
